VideoAsk: when people should answer on camera
VideoAsk, made by Typeform, is built for conversations that happen in everyone’s own time. You record a question, and people answer by video, audio or text. You can also start a live call, and it takes payments through Stripe.
Pricing: the Start plan is free, with up to 3 steps per videoask and 20 minutes of video and audio a month. Grow is $30 a month for 100 minutes, and Brand starts at $50 a month for 200 minutes, your own branding and a custom domain.
Choose it if you want to hear from people in their own voice, such as applicants, students or customers giving feedback. Stay with VideoSaysHi if the goal is a booked call: its calendar is built in, while VideoAsk books through Calendly, Acuity, OnceHub or HubSpot Meetings.
Mindstamp: training, quizzes and viewer reports
Mindstamp adds questions, buttons, hotspots and branching to a video and reports what each viewer did. It is aimed at training, marketing and sales teams, exports SCORM files for learning systems, takes answers by video or voice, and has a Stripe paywall.
Pricing: by plan, with unlimited viewers. When we checked, Basic was $99 a month for 5 videos, Core $299 for 50 and Pro $499 for 100, each lower when paid yearly. Conditional logic, HubSpot and a custom domain need Pro.
Choose it if you run training or courses and need SCORM files or detailed viewer reports. Stay with VideoSaysHi if you want booked calls: Starter is $49 a month for the same 5 videos, with the booking calendar included.
Cinema8: video hosting with interactive tools
Cinema8 is a video hosting platform with interactive features and support for learning standards such as SCORM and xAPI. It has a free plan and paid hosting plans from $12 a month billed yearly. Its full branching and gamification tools come with the Interaction Designer Pro add-on, listed at $249 to $299 a month unless you are on its Business plan.
Choose it if you want video hosting and learning standards in one place. Stay with VideoSaysHi if you only need funnels that turn viewers into leads and calls.
Tolstoy: shoppable video for Shopify stores
Tolstoy describes itself as an AI ecommerce platform for Shopify stores, with shoppable video on product pages. It also offers branching video with choices, contact forms, calendar booking and video or audio answers, and its plans are priced by monthly viewers.
Choose it if you sell products on Shopify and want video beside them. Stay with VideoSaysHi if you sell a service and need the lead and the call.
Hippo Video: personal videos for sales teams
Hippo Video is a video platform for sales, marketing and support teams, with AI video creation, polls, call-to-action buttons, meeting links and replies on video. It connects to HubSpot, Salesforce, Outreach, Salesloft and Zapier, and is priced per user, with a free plan.
Choose it if each rep on a sales team sends their own videos to prospects. Stay with VideoSaysHi if one funnel, shared by link, QR code or embed, should qualify every visitor the same way.
